America’s Blind Spot explores the silence surrounding abuse and the ways survivors are too often overlooked, dismissed, or unheard. While Black women are disproportionately affected by this reality and frequently face additional barriers to being believed or supported, this experience is not confined to one community. The piece speaks to all survivors whose voices have been minimized, challenging viewers to confront the systems, biases, and indifference that allow suffering to remain hidden. It is both a call for awareness and a reminder that every voice deserves to be seen, heard, and believed...the FIRST time!
